1. What is the Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Inc. (GTC)™ Broadband
System?
The Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Inc. Broadband System is a high-speed
internet service dedicated for your community and delivered
via a cable modem, Ethernet connection,
DSL Modem, or wireless transmission from a wireless access
point located near to your residence to allow you to connect
to the Internet.
GTC provides a high speed internet circuit
dedicated to you community to ensure a superior service
and uses the latest high-speed distribution systems to enable
you to take advantage of multimedia, streaming video, audio
communication tools and personalized services such as email
or instant messaging.
2.
How can you offer High-Speed Broadband Service for less
than DSL and Cable Internet Access which is available in
my area?
Because our network is dedicated to your resident community
only we can offer a superior service for less than the phone
or cable company.
3.
How does GTC Broadband System work?
The GTC Broadband System is delivered via cable modem, Ethernet,
wireless, or DSL modem as our network backbone. Systems
that use cable modems, DSL modems, or Ethernet ports plug
into your computer’s existing Ethernet jack to allow
for connection to the Internet. For wireless systems you
connect to the internet using your computer’s existing
wireless card or adapter.
4.
How does the GTC Broadband System connect to the Internet?
The GTC Broadband System connects to the Internet through
T1 or multiple T1 circuits dedicated to your community to
ensure a service superior to other broadband providers that
share the same resources among many communities.
5.
What does an "always on" connection mean?
The GTC Broadband System gives you a dedicated connection
between your computer and our broadband network. That connection
is "always on," so there's no need to dial in.
No waiting
to get online. No more busy signals. Always on means the
Internet is always just a click away. The always on connection
does not mean that your computer is vulnerable to hackers.
Instead, it means that when your computer is on, so is your
connection to the Internet.
6.
How fast is the GTC Broadband System?
The GTC Broadband System is a high-speed internet service
that is up to 50 times faster than a traditional analog
modem connection; with speeds up to 1.5Mbps downstream and
upstream.
7.
Is the GTC Broadband System speed guaranteed?
Connection speeds are not guaranteed. GTC offers a "best
effort" service. That means we will always do our best
to provide you with the fastest connection possible.
8.
What is the difference between the GTC Broadband System
and other online services?
The GTC Broadband System uses a dedicated broadband ISP
circuit and distribution network located centrally within
your resident community to exclusively service your community
unlike other services that provide shared resources among
many residential areas and businesses alike.
9.
How much does the GTC Broadband System cost and is it available
in my area?

11. What operating systems does GTC support?
We currently support only Windows and XP. Other operating systems should work, however

other than Windows 98 and XP. You may
need to consult your owner's manual to configure your service
if you have one of the systems we do not support.
12.
Can I use my existing cable modem equipment?

the level of service when using equipment not provided by
us.
13. What type of browser is used for the GTC Broadband System?
Can I use my own?
GTC recommends and supports Internet Explorer as a browser
and Outlook Express for email. Most email programs and browsers
will work with our system but we do not support them.
We do provide data to allow them to be hooked up to our
system. Please see our Customer Support page for details.
14.
Which email programs are supported?
Currently we only support Microsoft Outlook Express for
the PC. Many other email programs will work with our system,
however, we do not offer technical support in setting them
up.
You can follow the basic instructions in "Setting up
other programs for your email" on our Customer Support
page to configure your email program.
15.
Can I keep my email address from AOL, Earthlink, or another
system?
Yes. If you are interested in keeping your current email
address, but want to sign up for our high-speed Internet
access, you can have both! Most service providers, such
as AOL, Mindspring and Earthlink, all have low-usage plans
for around $5 a month. You can also create Yahoo, Hotmail,
or Google email accounts for free. These plans will allow
you to keep your current email address while still being
able to use our faster, less expensive Internet access.
For assistance in setting up your current email program
with our service, U.S. residents can call toll-free 1-866-470-9217
for technical support.
16.
How does the installation process work?
Upon signing up for the service, you will be provided with
a self-install kit comprised of a cable or DSL modem and
instructions. The instructions will guide you step by step
through the installation process. For Ethernet or wireless
networks you will need to call a toll free number 1-888-621-7388

in becoming a happy customer.

to its customers depending upon the service offered to your

23.
Will the speed of the GTC Broadband System be compromised
with multiple users?
Bandwidth on our system is shared between residents within
your community, so it is possible for performance to vary
depending on how many customers are actively using the system
at any given time. This is also true for the Internet as
a whole, however, the broadband service we provide is dedicated
only to your unlike other mass service providers.
24. Am I allowed to network the GTC Broadband System?
Yes, but GTC will not provide technical support for networked computers.
25.
I'm concerned about security. What features does the GTC
Broadband System have to protect me?
Our service provides you direct access to the internet like
an other cable or DSL provider and it is the responsibility
of the end user to take the necessary precautions including
installation of a firewall router, or firewall software
to protect you and your computer from unwanted users. We
highly recommend that you use anti-virus software to protect
your machine from viruses.
We also suggest the use of personal
firewall software on your computer. U.S. residents can call
our toll-free number at 1-888-470-9217 if you need a recommendation.
